Hunt Etiquette (Dress Code)
Gentlemen with Colours:
- Black hunting cap with ribbons up.
- Scarlet coat with 3 to 4 OVH buttons on the front, 2 on the
back and 2 small OVH buttons on each sleeve. Hunter Green collar.
- Canary or other subdued coloured vest [optional].
- White breeches.
- Black leather boots with tan coloured tops.
- White string or tan leather gloves.
- White stock, with horizontally pinned stock pin.
- Blunt spurs [optional].
- Hunting crop with cord. Use in control of the hounds is not permitted unless
requested by the Huntsman. Alternatively, another type of riding
crop may be carried.
Ladies with Colours:
- Black hunting cap with ribbons up and hairnet.
- Black coat with 3 OVH buttons on the front, 2 on the
back and 2 small OVH buttons on the each sleeve. Hunter Green
collar.
- Canary or other subdued coloured vest [optional].
- Buff or beige breeches.
- Black leather boots with black patent tops.
- White string, black or tan leather gloves.
- White stock, with horizontally pinned stock pin.
- Blunt spurs [optional].
- Hunting crop with cord. Use in control of the hounds
is not permitted unless requested by the Huntsman. Alternatively,
another type of riding crop may be carried.
Ladies and Gentlemen without Colours:
- Riding helmet with ribbons up. Hairnet for long hair,
please.
- Black, brown or navy coat.
- Buff, beige or gray breeches.
- Riding boots.
- Appropriate gloves.
- White stock, with horizontally pinned stock pin; regular tie or choker.
- Riding crop [optional].
